Bus Transportation & Student Parking
January 10, 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians of ALC-West Students,
Cypress Fairbanks ISD is excited to provide modified bus transportation and limited student parking for students assigned to ALC-West.
Three bus routes provide modified transportation based upon attendance zones and our students’ assigned home campus. Please review the attached list of bus routes. Parents/Guardians are asked to
1. Please designate your student’s pick-up and drop-off bus stop, and
2. Return the signed, ALC Student Bus Contract to your bus driver on your first day.
Students riding the school bus must have their Cy-Fair ISD issued, student ID. Students must scan their ID to enter and exit the school bus. Students are not permitted to ride the bus without their student ID badge and not until the signed, bus contract is returned. A copy of the signed, bus contract will be provided to the student to take home.
Limited student parking is available for seniors on a first come first served basis.
Parents/Guardians and students must complete a parking application and show proof of a valid driver’s license and current insurance. There is no fee for parking at ALC-West. Parking Applications are available in the Front Office.
Cypress Fairbanks ISD is pleased to partner with parents and guardians to ensure their students attend ALC, complete their assigned placement in a timely manner and ensure students’ academic success. Please contact your student’s Assistant Principal should you have any questions: Kenneth Simpson or Nicoya Rogers at 281-855-4068.
With Great Expectations,
Derrick Crowder
Principal
Requirements for Riding CFISD Transportation (effective 1/8/24)
- Parents and Students will complete the CFISD Transportation contract during ALC Orientation
- Choose the STOP location where the student will be picked up and dropped off each day
- Transportation will begin the TUESDAY after the week of orientation.
- Transportation requests must be submitted by Friday at 3:30 p.m. for transportation to start the following Tuesday.
- Students are REQUIRED to have a student ID badge to board the bus and must scan on each morning and afternoon. In the event a student (who is already riding the bus daily and has been routed in Tyler) does not have a RFID student badge, they MUST have a temporary badge from the campus that includes their name, student ID#, and Bus #. To transport students safely, the driver must be able to verify the student’s information and stop location.
